Resource Allocation on Agent Meta-Societies

چکیده
This paper is concerned with the formalization of a automated contracting mechanism that enables a society of cooperative resource allocation agents to negotiate rationally in a self-interested meta-society. Such environments induce agents to adopt diierent social behaviors according to the negotiation partner. This problem may be solved by taking an economic perspective in all the decisions, namely, by using utility based agents, through the use of marginal utility calculations, and deening dynamically the market extent for a task. The risk attitude and reactivity of each agent can be parameterized in order to achieve diierent negotiation strategies. The framework presented in this paper can be applied in a wide variety of situations, ranging from electronic commerce on virtual economic markets, to load distribution problems.

Meta-Reasoning For a Distributed Agent Architecture
Agent based computing offers the ability to decentralize computing solutions by incorporating autonomy and intelligence into cooperating, distributed applications. It provides an effective medium for expressing solutions to problems that involve interaction with real-world environments and allows modelling of the world state and its dynamics. This model can be then used to determine how candida...
متن کاملFRA-PSO: A two-stage Resource Allocation Algorithm in Cloud Computing
Cloud computing gives a large quantity of processing possibilities and heterogeneous resources, meeting the prerequisites of numerous applications at diverse levels. Therefore, resource allocation is vital in cloud computing. Resource allocation is a technique that resources such as CPU, RAM, and disk in cloud data centers are divided among cloud users. The resource utilization, cloud service p...
متن کاملImproving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning
In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...
متن کاملCol.lecció d’Economia E17/363 Games with Graph Restricted Communication and Levels Structure of Cooperation
We analyze surplus allocation problems where cooperation between agents is restricted both by a communication graph and by a sequence of embedded partitions of the agent set. For this type of problem, we define and characterize two new values extending the Shapley value and the Banzhaf value respectively. Our results enable the axiomatic comparison between the two values and provide some basic ...
متن کاملIncremental Negotiation and Coalition Formation for Resource-Bound Agents: Preliminary Report
We explore a class of task allocation mechanisms that are incremental and can be tuned to the computational resource limitations of agents. Our focus is on distributed task and resource allocation problems involving coalitions of cooperative agents that must negotiate among themselves on the distribution of tasks. Our emphasis is on the design of mechanisms with desirable real-time and dynamic ...
